Seasons of my Eyes

Waxing Witchery Woven

This massacre has turned a corner
Gone from brutal, bloody cemetery of mutations and mutilations
To midnight summer, starry sky full of incantatory, ethereal dreams –
Where he was birthed in splendors’ beauty
The mind of a madman but the heart of a poet
Savage and rogue, soft and seraphic
A murmur sweet against my heart
I find my way in his mesmerizing, honeyed eyes
Rest against his strumming heart that moves me like a gentle prayer –
Lulls me into filigreed moonflower dreams
He is a formidable foe
But a fierce warrior
Come to take my heart into his somber, deadened world
To play with specters and demons, of which we shall then slay
Each one a torment that time has kept for us alone –
To banish among the ruins at the edge of the moon
Our breath each others intoxication
Our words each others scripture
Our blood each others sustenance
I seek our existence in his eyes as life unsheathes its violence
I know my place with his every heartbeat
He is my immortal moonstone
My summer solstice rain, drenching me in sugary absinthe sin
And I fall willingly to his seeking thirst
Tattoo my desire on his naked, beautiful body, with my eager mouth –
Wandering aimlessly, reveling in every inch of his masculine, seductive canvas
The star shadows bathe us in steamy heat
And I wish to make him recognize the profound, constant craving he inspires in me
All that he need do is seek my eyes
It exists there, always, endlessly…
It speaks in words and wordlessly
It lives in the tumescent energy between us; Sparks, flame, fire, inferno…
Only he is my possessor
The only one that I seek
When I look to the sky
When I listen to the wind
When I disappear into the darkness
When I creep among the demons
He is my shadow beneath lavender clouds
My tormenter and protector
My love for him blessed in sacred magic and paraphed poetry
Written in ink and blood
Always resting on my lips for his ears
Always thriving in my tempestuous heart
Always in the seasons of my eyes
Orbs of autumnal caramel rimmed with aquamarine…
Sparkling with mischief, desire, fire and love
Because of him
